We are looking for someone who likes creating stability and efficiency in a cloud environment. Someone who is versatile at the shell to debug weird network issues, but who hates snowflakes. Someone who likes developing tools that are used by other developers, and makes their lives easier. Someone who masters our cloud.

Whilst it is possible to run completely “server less” these days, that isn’t always practical for all applications. Thus we still run a moderate cloud stack on the Google Cloud Platform. As you can see in the description of our stack, we use Hashicorp’s tools for deployment. That means a Consul + Vault cluster, and Nomad to schedule (container) jobs. That actually runs stable without too much maintenance. Most of the work is in improving the experience of other developers, and making it easier for them to do the things they need to do on the operations side.

For example, we use Terraform to control and set up our resources. However that doesn’t mean that it is clear for everyone what to use and how to tie that together. Modularizing and documenting is key here. Also, we want to enable continuous integration, so everyone can see what the effect would be of their changes, without giving everyone the proverbial keys to the kingdom.

The rest of the team will look at you for advice on how to deploy their service, how to keep sight on its metrics and errors. Note that whilst you are probably the one with the most knowledge, we do rotate on-call duties with the whole team.

**Compensation

The envisioned salary range for this position is €55-80k per year (excluding 8% holiday pay), depending on experience. Besides that we offer Stock Appreciation Rights and a 4% learning budget. You’ll get an Apple Macbook Pro (M1 or M2) to work on.

Job Overview

Podchaser is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to be responsible for the ongoing configuration and maintenance of our existing stack including CI/CD pipelines, automating our software delivery processes and the general management and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure.

The Platform Engineering team build and maintain the Platform upon which our services run. They also support other Engineering teams using the Platform, and provide primary-responder on-call support for out of hours service incidents.

Inidual cross-functional Product Engineering teams are responsible for the services they build, deploy, and run - Platform Engineering provides a place for those services to live.

As a company, we provide a range of software services - internally and externally - with React front-ends built on top of RESTful APIs provided by Java services running on Debian GNU/Linux.

Our Platform is built on Nomad on Google Cloud Platform, managed by Terraform, with Vault and Consul Connect and Envoy and more, pushed out by GoCD pipelines, with Prometheus gathering metrics and logs feeding into ELK.

We talk via Slack and Zoom, our code lives in GitHub, our tasks in Jira and our internal documentation in Confluence.

• Experience building SaaS infrastructure and automations on public-cloud services in highly-available environments

**SENIOR SALESFORCE CONSULTANT

This role is crucial in project delivery, helping bridge the gap between sales, support, configuration, architecture and clients. Senior Consultants manage client projects, internal teams and participate in sales activities on occasion to support expansion in their current clients.

Responsibilities:

• Manage portfolio of client projects from start to finish, including project timeline, client communications, meeting coordination, training plan creation, end-user training delivery and/or coordination, and project sign-off.
• Support strategic roadmapping and requirements gathering projects by facilitating roadmapping sessions with client leaders.
• Manage all project team members: marketing, build, data, development, and integration team members.
