Hotel Engine is eager to add a Staff Software Engineer, Ruby on Rails to our growing engineering organization! In this role, you’ll be making architectural decisions, developing and maintaining an internal set of systems and tools, mentoring and shaping other engineers, and building out integrations with third parties. How we work:

• We ship code daily to our production, staging, and continuous integration environments
• We work in a mix of Agile and Kanban
• We keep meetings to an absolute minimum to maximize development time
• We keep to a 40-hour workweek and respect your time away from the office

Here’s what we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Extensive knowledge using MySQL, Postgres, or other RDBMS at scale
• Working knowledge of modern control systems (Git/Github)
• Deep expertise of object-oriented software design, development, and architectural principles

Cash compensation:

• The total cash compensation for this role is $155,000-$175,000/year with an annual bonus target of up to 15%. Overall Total Earning potential including the bonus is $178,250-$201,250 plus stock options. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise & may vary from the amount above

Remote Opportunities:

• This role is eligible for remote work and you can work from anywhere in the U.S.
