Airstack is developing a protocol and dapps for browsing, discovering, and consuming on-chain data in standardized formats across projects and across blockchains.
Prior to Airstack there has been no way to index, query, or map relationships across web3 projects and the Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchains they run on. This locks data and user experiences in silos and limits developers from making apps that are aware of users’ actions and behaviors across web3.
Airstack is building the tooling now to enable a decentralized web3 data network that will enable easy querying of data across projects and blockchains. To make this possible Airstack is standardizing blockchain data, aggregating it, mapping relationships, and providing protocols and APIs to access it.
Job Description
We are looking for a passionate senior full stack developer with back end expertise to join the Airstack core development team. Airstack is a decentralized data network that makes blockchain activity easily discoverable, browsable, and consumable.
Responsibilities
- By being one of the core blockchain engineers you will have a large impact on the direction of the protocol and blockchain applications both from a design and technical perspective
- Lead architecture and development of backend systems
- Develop APIs that take web3 things and make them web2 reliable
- Help define vision and roadmap for decentralization of back end services
- Being involved in protocol design and development
- Writing simple, high quality, and secure smart contracts
- Write the libraries to interface with smart contracts
- Working with security auditing firms to ensure safety of code
Please note: We are only hiring senior full-stack engineers who are eager to work on both web3 and web2 components, equally enthusiastic about APIs as smart contracts, and comfortable at all layers and aspects of the Airstack tech stack. If you only want to write smart contracts this job is not for you.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing back end systems that have scaled to thousands of users
- 5+ years of experience writing APIs and microservices
- Know how to write distributed, high-performance services.
- Passion for learning about web3 languages like Rust, Solidity, Javascript and related languages in Web3 and smart contract contexts
- We can teach you web3, but some Ethereum, EVM experience would be great
- Experience designing, architecting, and implementing engineering solutions
- Professional experience with git, code reviews, testing
- Experience working with REST and Graphql APIs
- Experience with Neo4j or similar graphical databases is a strong plus
- Understanding of web3 verticals such as DeFi, NFTs, DAOs is a plus, also SubGraphs
