Otus is solving two of the biggest challenges facing K-12 education: teachers need to get more things done in a limited amount of time and all stakeholders (students, families, teachers, and administrators) need access to relevant student performance data.

As an executive member of a growing team, you must possess a strong work ethic and be upbeat, driven, intelligent, well-organized, articulate, share a passion for learning new technology, and thrive in a fun, fast-paced environment.

You will have the opportunity to immediately contribute and see the results of your work in use by students, teachers, parents and district administrators across the country.

Culture and People: building out our organizational practices, principles, and modes of operating to make Otus the best possible place to work.

Human Resources: implementing hiring, onboarding, compensation, review, and other personnel practices that are foundational for individual growth, team performance, and company compliance.

Recruiting: oversee the strategy and execution of our sourcing, interviewing, and attracting the next cohort of amazing Otus team members, including both technical and non-technical and both remote and on-site.

Process: refining, creating, contributing to existing processes

Requirements

  • You have led strategic People and Human Resources initiatives, at early-stage or late-stage companies, non-profits, or organizations.
  • You know how to recruit candidates with specialized backgrounds (including highly-technical ones), and are ready to scale a Recruiting organization to grow this function around you.
  • You believe that people are a business, full stop. You believe that investments in Culture, HR and People have limitless potential.
  • You are motivated by the opportunity to work at a dynamic fast-paced company where the magnitude of your contributions are only bound by your abilities.
  • You are respectful, empathetic, honest, and energetic.
  • You are willing to work remotely or on-site in Chicago, IL.
