The Position

 

We’re looking for a Test Engineer to help us maintain high quality services across our many live integrations that serve a world-class client.  The ideal candidate will have solid experience in both manual and automated testing and will be comfortable working alongside our existing test engineers to own end to end quality assurance throughout the SDLC.  This means spotting issues during requirements gathering all the way to validating that a feature went live successfully and then supporting engineers with production issues.  If you’re proactive by nature and have a skill for identifying overlooked risks and regressions, then we’d love to hear from you!

The Role 

 

The day to day activities for this role will include;

  • Manual testing across APIs, web and mobile
  • Writing automation tests where they add the most value
  • Writing manual test cases for areas with no automation coverage
  • Finding, reporting and tracking bugs
  • Creating test data and preparing environments for testing
  • Performance and load testing
  • Suggesting improvements to our existing APIs and products
  • Helping to improve existing processes and procedures
  • Liaising with internal operations team and external vendors
  • Attending and contributing to Scrum ceremonies

What you’ll bring

 

  • Minimum 3+ years proven experience in a similar, relevant role
  • Experience as a developer or as an automation engineer
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance methodologies and standards
  • Ability to communicate clearly and kindly
  • Inquisitive and comfortable asking questions
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Reliable and trustworthy

Nice to have:

  • ISTQB certified
  • Experience working on hospitality products
  • Experience working in a Scrum team
  • Experience developing in Java or JavaScript

 

Location: Edinburgh, UK or Spain (ideally commutable to our Edinburgh office, however, we will also consider remote working from anywhere in the UK or Spain)
