< class="h2">About the Role

Data is core of everything we do at Pagos, as a QA Engineer (Data), you’ll play a key part in ensuring the quality and consistency of our data. 

With a keen eye for detail and a collaborative approach, you’ll partner and collaborate with our Engineering and Product teams. You’ll focus on testing data pipelines, debugging rogue SQL queries, and tracking down data inconsistencies. 

 

< class="h3">As a QA Engineer (Data), you will:

• Own data quality across the entire platform

• Design scalable and reliable test plans to ensure consistent data delivery

• Find, research, and track bugs 

• Plan and coordinate testing activities across cross-functional teams 

 

< class="h2">What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with:

• 2-4 years in QA engineering, data analysis, or equivalent professional experience

• Excellent knowledge and experience of data validation, automated testing, and data pipeline and ingestion testing

• Excellent SQL knowledge, with experience writing and debugging complex queries

• Experience programming in Python, Java, C#, or a similar language

• A bias for action, where no task is too small 

• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal while working with an asynchronous global team

 

Nice to haves: 

• Experience in the fintech/finance industry

• Comfort and/or past experience working with big data testing

• Comfort and/or past experience working with ETL
