We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our Brink Point-of-Sale (POS) software development team where the ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software quality assurance.
What we need to see on your resume:
- Minimum of Three (3) years of quality assurance experience in the software industry
- Ability to understand REST or SOAP API, JSON and XML formats.
- Experience using API testing tools like JMeter, Postman or SoapUI a plus.
- Desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process, product quality and reliability
- Understanding of standard QA practices and strategies
Day in the life:
- Review test plans, test cases, and defects to encourage the development of new test strategies, and maintain a continuous improvement environment to improve quality and efficiency
- Conduct root cause analysis of identified defects, providing sufficient details to understand, replicate and resolve the defect
- Ensure that defects and requirement variances are being appropriately communicated to development for correction
- Work closely with the development team to ensure that issues/defects are dealt with in a timely and professional manner
