What you’ll be working on
BUILDING THE POSSIBILITIES. We’re growing rapidly. As a Senior Blockchain Systems Engineer, you will help us continue running our applications smoothly as our business scales. We solves some of the most interesting challenges in the tech industry, and when you join our team, you’ll have the opportunity to see your ideas and solutions directly impact our products. WHAT YOU WILL DO AS A SENIOR BLOCKCHAIN SYSTEMS ENGINEER:
Create self-provisioning infrastructure using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation and Docker to support blockchain toolings
Research and experiment with emerging technologies like the Graph, Chainlink, IPFS, AWS Managed Blockchain and work with the team to design enterprise solutions integrating these technologies
Maintain the health of blockchain nodes and related infrastructure
Define key metrics and SLAs around new web services being created to support our rapid traffic growth
Design and implement monitoring and alerting strategies to enforce application and infrastructure SLAs (e.g. DataDog)
Foster a continuous deployment ecosystem that will allow to integrate with blockchain at a massive scale
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Your experience with cloud environments, provisioning automation and Infrastructure-as-Code through Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation
Experience with setting up and maintaining blockchain nodes, hosting or using blockchain explorers and interacting with different dApps
Strong experience of common scripting and backend languages in blockchain (Bash and at least one of NodeJS, Golang or Rust).
Experience of working with Linux command line and system operations
Experience of supporting web applications, backend APIs using AWS tech stack like EC2, ELBs, Lambda, Gateway APIs
Experience with AWS Managed Blockchain is a strong asset
Working knowledge of systems metrics like CPU, memory, and processes and improve performance and make the system more efficient
Technical proficiency with different layers of networking and ability to debug issues down to the packets
Deep understanding with blockchain concepts: blockchain clients, RPC API, peering, p2p protocol, mempool, transaction propagation
