Health IQ is in search of a Temporary/Seasonal Compliance Specialist - Medicare to support its growing Medicare expansion through this year's Annual Enrollment Period. As the specialist, you’ll help execute on the day-to-day operations of the compliance team and also work closely with the sales and operational teams to provide compliance and quality feedback. 

The right person has compliance, business, analytical and communication skills to support the creation of new compliance programs, as well as established programs and processes that promote compliance and ethical behavior, meet regulatory obligations, and prevent, detect and mitigate compliance risks.  This is a fully remote opportunity.

What will you be doing?

  • Monitor and evaluate inbound and outbound sales calls for compliance and quality metrics and liaise with our third party call quality vendor.
  • Track identified issues in the call quality monitoring system, analyze the results to spot any emerging trends, and communicate feedback to improve performance.
  • Investigate call compliance matters that might require more training, monitoring, or other remedial action and will prepare summary reports to management with your findings.
  • Assist in ensuring regulatory requirements are met relating to inquiries or grievances, and will advise management on necessary actions to ensure adherence to these requirements.
  • Maintain inter- and intra-departmental work flows by establishing and maintaining effective and timely feedback to ensure compliance.
  • Establish and maintain effective communications with internal and external contacts, keeping team members informed of cross-functional activities though weekly and ad hoc status reports. 
  • Contribute to the team effort by participating on committees and in meetings and  performing other duties as assigned or requested.
What you must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement highly preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience working in compliance, with a strong preference for call center or insurance industry experience 
  • 2+ years of experience auditing Medicare Advantage sales and enrollment calls for compliance is a strong preference
  • You’re highly detail-oriented
  • You have a stiff spine and can hold your ground when needed
  • Comfort with ambiguity with an ability to learn quickly and thrive in a complex, growth-oriented and dynamic environment
  • You must be comfortable with disciplining personnel when needed, but also developing working relationships with them.
