About this Position

Here's your opportunity to join a fun team of eCommerce professionals and to be a part of a growing and dynamic web-based business which is one of the largest eCommerce companies based in Canada.  

As a Junior QA Analyst, you will be responsible for the verification and validation of new features, functionalities, and enhancements for EGP e-commerce websites, back-end and internal applications. You will work closely with QA manager in the creation of test scenarios, development and execution of test cases, analysis of test results, detection and documentation of defects, and validation of bug fixes. You will be working in a fast paced, collaborative agile environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Verify bug reports and clarify requirements 
  • Validate and test bug fixes by dev team · 
  • Coordinate communication between bug tasks and QA team
  • Review project requirements and work with QA team to produce a test plan 
  • Conduct feature tests as they are developed and provide feedback to the QA team
  • Identify documentation that may be affected by the new features and create tickets for updating
  • Verify all new features in their final form on the staging server before deployment
  • Report on testing status before deployment 
  •  Verify successful deployments in production
  • Review data updates
  • Coordinate with Manager of Project Assurance for priorities
  • Periodically review documentation for outdated or inaccurate information and create tickets to update 
  • Identify missing or required documentation and review with Manager 
  • Update documentation as per tickets
  • Attend weekly QA meeting

Required Qualifications :

  • High School or GED or equivalent experience
  • Strong computers skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Adaptable/Flexible with faced paced work
  • Comfortable with change
  • Collaborative/Team Player
