BuildBook Overview:

BuildBook is an aircraft restoration ERP system developed to organize and track the restoration of complex aircraft projects. BuildBook consists of major elements, the organization of data and resources, the management of conformity information and the management of parts purchased and fabricated. The program was developed with a ground approach from the technicians on the restoration shop floor working directly with the programmer who created it.

BuildBook is broken down into three primary functions including Search, Project Pages, and Reports. Searching by part/assembly number will produce a list of all projects which utilize that part. Each project page includes a full Bill of Materials for the entire project, but can also be dialed-in to part lists for specific assemblies. Reports allow users to compile information for several topics related to each project.

AirCorps Library Overview:

AirCorps Library is an online service that provides vintage aircraft manufacturing drawings, specifications, and documents/manuals to paid subscribers. The library consists of approximately 500,000 drawings and 12,000 documents. The backing storage for those resources is made up of approximately 570,000,000 files (blobs) requiring approximately 12TB of data storage.

AirCorps Library differentiates between subscribers and non-subscribers, and offers specific data to the users in these two demographics. Subscribers and non-subscribers access the AirCorps Library website from different platforms, each of which is managed by a separate program. The AirCorps Library home page (http://www.aircorpslibrary.com) is hosted in BigCommerce and serves as a junction for subscribers and non-subscribers to navigate to their respective areas of the site (https://app.aircorpslibrary.com/ for subscribers “custom web app”, and https://aircorpslibrary.com/purchase-manuals/ for non-subscribers “in BigCommerce”).

In a 14-team league spanning 26 weeks, each pair of teams meets twice. The first matchup occurs between weeks 1 and 13, and the second between weeks 14 and 26, with teams switching home and away roles.

Constraints include:

1. Teams A and B cannot play at home in the same week.
2. Team C must play away in weeks 6, 7, 17, and 18.
3. In weeks 1-13 and 14-26, teams play either 6 or 7 home matches.
4. In the first two and last two weeks, teams alternate between home and away matches.
5. Teams starting at home end the season away, and vice versa.
6. Within every set of 6 consecutive rounds, a given matchup occurs only once.

Our Software Engineers are product focused, giving them the opportunity to work on a product and understand the layers of the software stack. Responsibilities also include providing independent technical leadership of medium-sized projects across the mobile team of 10+ people, contributing to the development of new ideas and principles, and working on both short and long-range programs and objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Implement brand new product requirements into future focused, high quality, and easily testable code written in React Native
• Troubleshoot complex / legacy issues and improve app performance providing a roadmap to long term sustainable platform for the app
• Able to make technology selection using process of experimenting, proof-of-concept implementation, and comparison to other industry leading technologies
• Provide excellent daily support to a team of software developers including coaching and influencing their performance and progression of the team and in some cases across teams
• Communicates status and plans in clear and concise way, able to think through risks and issue to find the best solution given the business and technical constraints

Qualifications

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in computer science
• 5+ years of experience working on Java/J2EE applications, strong knowledge of Object Orientated Programming, and experience with multiple databases.
• Strong Java fundamentals and experience with Spring or Spring Boot, Hibernate, JSON and XML
• Experience architecting/developing web applications using micro service architecture.
• Technical development experience with REST/SOAP web services.
• Basic knowledge of how modern JavaScript frameworks like VUE, React and Angular2 communicate with the back-end server.
• Experience with modern SDLC tools – Git, JIRA, Artifactory, Jenkins/TeamCity, OpenShift, Gradle
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and a quick learner. You should have a broad base of software development experience and be interested in continuing to grow technically via hands on experience and learning.

Compensation and Benefits

Our anticipated compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets, and the range below indicates the low end of the lowest-compensated market to the high end of the highest-compensated market.
