Candidates should have at least 4 years of experience teaching the Common Core mathematics standards in a US high school classroom. Ideal candidates have prior experience reviewing instructional materials for organizations like EdReports (or for a district or state adoption process) and are familiar with the EdReports critieria with a strong understanding of Focus, Coherence, and Rigor.
This role will help to ensure that all students and teachers have access to high quality instructional materials for mathematics, so if you share that passion this might be the role for you.
About the role:
You will be:
- Reviewing digital textbook content for alignment to the Common Core State Standards, balance of rigor, and attention to the Standards for Mathematical Practice
- Providing feedback and suggestions for improvement to student lessons and teacher materials
- Communicating regularly with a small team of content writers to support them in writing quality content
- Reviewing content against the EdReports rubric, identifying areas of weakness within each course, and making suggestions for improvement
Requirements
Required qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) with a focus in math/STEM/education
- minimum of 4 years experience as a high school mathematics teacher in US classrooms (teaching to the Common Core standards)
- in depth knowledge of the Common Core State Standards for mathematics (grades 6-12)
- have reviewed instructional materials against the EdReports rubric or similar (such as the IMET tool)
- strong written and verbal communication skills, open to giving and receiving feedback
- ability to prioritize the work that will have the highest impact

Job description:

Title: K-12 World Language Curriculum Developer
Location: Anywhere
Mango Languages is looking for an expert in K-12 language curriculum development. In this part-time, remote contractor position, you will collaborate with a team of linguists to assist in curriculum development and planning, and create a suite of language learning activity templates based on this plan.
The curriculum development expert is responsible for ensuring that the final set of lesson plan templates meets the needs of World Language educators and students, in addition to meeting the high quality standards of Mango Languages.
The ideal candidate will have significant and recent experience in a K-12 World Language classroom, and is passionate about language education. This person will have a track record of creating innovative and effective lesson plans for world language classrooms.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with remote team members to build out a hierarchy and plan for curricular elements
- Develop a suite of classroom activity templates to be used in scalable curriculum development initiatives
- Create activities that are informed by and tagged for Depth of Knowledge levels and Bloom’s taxonomy
- Support the development of language framework training curriculum and materials for institutions and educators.
- Offer insight into the K-12 space by consulting on various initiatives
- Support possible transition to digital format as appropriate
- Review outcomes of user testing and implement corresponding changes
- Commit to a part-time collaboration, with a time commitment between 10 and 30 hours per week depending on project phase
- Attend and participate in regular project team meetings
Job Requirements
- Master’s Degree or higher in Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Technology, or similar field

Apex Learning Virtual School (ALVS) Part-time online tutors support virtual high school students with live online chat. The tutor will be responsible for managing and responding to multiple chat sessions providing exceptional instruction, student mentorship and subject matter expertise on math, science, English, and social studies subjects.

Job Responsibilities:
- Familiarity with ALVS course content, structure, style within math, science, English, and social studies subjects (Tutors will receive access to demo accounts for all courses in their subject area).
- Engage with students in a friendly and professional manner requesting information about the course, activity, and/or specific content so they can quickly serve the student’s needs.
- Respond to student questions in a positive, supportive manner, giving as detailed explanations as possible.
- Guide the student through content and/or process without answering the question for them using the Socratic method.

School of Motion is looking for Motion Designers to help us continue to inspire thousands of budding and experienced MoGraph artists each year.
As a Teaching Assistant for School of Motion, you will be guiding students through our rigorous Motion Design Courses by helping them overcome the hurdles and unique challenges they are presented with by their course instructor.
Some of your biggest responsibilities will include:
- Provide inspiration and encouragement to students throughout the session
- Lift up students who do exceptional work with our Student Spotlight program
- Give written critiques to assignments submitted in our custom-built Homework Locker
- Create near-weekly video reviews of student work to be seen by all current students.
- Clarify questions students have about lessons and assignments
Schedule:
You will be creating your own schedule. Our Teaching Assistants live all over the globe in many different time zones. However, there are three requirements for your schedule:
- You must be able to provide written assignment critiques within 24 hours of their submission on business days. You never need to work on weekends or on holidays, unless that’s when you want to work. It’s up to you.
- You must be able to record a video critique and upload it to the portal each week between Monday night and Wednesday at 2pm Eastern Standard Time. You must not record the video any earlier than Monday night, to allow for student submissions.

Each session, you will be paid a fixed amount per assigned student between $50 and $100. The number of students you are assigned each session is contingent upon the number of enrolled students in each School of Motion course.

*We are seeking a Virtual Teacher certified to teach Spanish in Louisiana or Pennsylvania.*
The Virtual Spanish (6-12) Teacher is responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where learners can fulfill their potential and for organizing and implementing an instructional program that results in students achieving academic success in accordance with District and state policies and laws. The Virtual Teacher is a highly qualified instructional teacher responsible for the delivery of specified course content in an online, virtual environment. *The applicant can be located anywhere within the US.*
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Acquaint students to their coursework and communicate course and school requirements
- Maintain a full load of students in certified content area
- Employ synchronous and asynchronous tools to supplement course content
- Support the Academy’s Live Help program
- Maintain availability to students and parents between 8am and 5pm Monday- Friday
- Conduct Live Lessons with students on essential learning topics for each course in content area
- Create Learning Resources to promote student learning for each course in content area
- Track student progress and help students stay on pace to complete class by class end date
- Conference with parents of struggling students by phone or online
- Grade student work and enter grades into an online grade book in a timely manner.
- Contribute to and complete student report cards
- Communicate with teachers, administrators, and parents as needed
- Respond to student messages and discussions in a timely manner within school guidelines
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required
- Teaching certification for K-12 required
- LA or PA teaching certification in Spanish and experience teaching in this subject
- Three years or more of classroom teaching experience with one year of online teaching experience
- Meet highly qualified teacher requirements
- Strong content and subject matter knowledge
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organization and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other online tools
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule
