Position Summary

This position is working with our Teaching Services department from your home office anywhere within the United States. Our state certified virtual teachers manage online instructional programs for students around the country and across the globe. Teachers communicate regularly with students to ensure that each student successfully completes their instructional program. This is a work from home position.

Primary Responsibilities

The Developmental Adaptive Physical Education Teacher will be responsible for the successful completion of the following tasks:

• Support the instructional program with synchronous and asynchronous web conferencing sessions using Class for Zoom;
• Complete all grading by providing prompt, high-quality, personalized feedback on assignments;
• Communicate with students, and other teachers on a regular basis to update pacing plans/schedules for students as required;
• Use data to monitor successful completion of assignments and facilitate appropriate interactions with students that encourage consistent interaction with the course(s);
• Review curriculum and determine course modifications that will promote student achievement for those requiring accommodations through IEPs or 504 plans;
• Consult with team members and administrators to develop alternate enrichment activities and lesson modifications to increase student understanding and promote success for struggling or at-risk students through differentiation;
• Develop a general knowledge of the curriculum and a detailed knowledge of the courses for which you are responsible;
• Communicate regularly with students, using phone, Chat and our WebMail system;
• Adhere to all policies regarding protecting students’ well-being and personal information, including following FERPA and Copyright & Fair Use laws;
• Keep student performance and participation information up-to-date by grading assessments in a timely manner, and logging all student and parent contacts;

• Utilize a variety of communication tools in the online environment to effectively build relationships and promote student success with students, partner teachers, colleagues, and other stakeholders;

• Instruct students while utilizing age appropriate, research-based adapted physical education techniques to improve physical fitness, perceptual motor skills and gross motor skills;
• Participate in the development of the Inidual Educational Programs for students with disabilities, including implementation of adaptive PE goals and IEP progress monitoring;
• Collaborate with the IEP team, including Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapists when appropriate;
• Create and support transition programs to move students from school age to adulthood;
• Utilize comprehensive assessments to design the inidualized adapted physical education program;
• Collaborate and consult with general Physical Education teachers as needed with a focus on adaptations and modifications to enable student access to the general curriculum
• Other duties as assigned.

TOP: Based on potential student enrollment changes, this position will work until the end of each semester of the 2023-2024 school year. At that time, the school and department leadership will evaluate the status of this position and could extend it for the following enrollment period or school year if they deem it necessary. As a subject-matter expert of the products you will train customers on, you will be expected to maintain advanced technical knowledge of our products and, keeping up with their evolution. Delivery:

Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, customer success, technology, support and data conversion, to ensure customers have all they need to complete their onboarding journey.

Enablement:

Document and track training activities and progress within the internal CRM / Project Management system.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Mango Languages is looking for an enthusiastic Vocabulary Content Linguist who can quickly publish topical and engaging vocabulary content for language learners. In this entry-level temporary contract position, you will be part of a content development team composed of linguists and subject matter experts with a mission to build and curate a collection of vocabulary lists for many languages.

The Vocabulary Content Linguist will be responsible for overseeing the content strategy for Mango s Vocabulary system. You will be expected to plan and adhere to a consistent, fast-paced schedule of content deployments using Mango s in-house content development software. Candidates must demonstrate that they are able to work in many different languages, as understanding the unique challenges posed to learners by different languages will be essential to building a successful content strategy.

THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced and versatile Math educator to serve as a Content Associate. By offering high-quality standards-aligned Math lessons for free, we hope to empower millions of students to take charge of their futures and improve their lives.

As a Content Associate, you’ll leverage your intuition for what matters to deliver high-quality learning content, robust coverage, and usage. You will scale math content to ensure our learners receive sufficient practice for skill mastery. You won’t be working in isolation; you’ll be working closely with other members of the content team.

Our content team includes content creators from around the world who make our videos, articles, and practice questions. Today, our courses include nearly every math topic from K-14, science and humanities content covering high school and early college, test prep for several national exams, and much more! In the years ahead, we want to double down on making our courses great in classrooms and help push online education to the next level.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Work with the content team to expand our Math courses by leveraging market research, your subject matter expertise, and your intuition for learner needs
• Create and curate high-quality content on schedule, designing and developing new standards-aligned exercises and articles, leveraging pre-existing resources from Khan Academy and third parties
• Learn and use our content management system to improve existing courses and build new courses
• Act as an editorial expert by reviewing new content, participating in the maintenance of existing content, and working with partners

WHAT YOU BRING

• Proven ability to create high-impact learning content in your discipline (minimum of 2 years of content development experience in Math, including Algebra I and grades 5-8 math)
• Strong intuition for how students like to learn and insight into common misconceptions (minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching/tutoring experience)
• Experience and aptitude working with multiple standards sets (e.g. NGSS, CCSS, State Standards) to ensure coverage and alignment during course development and curation
• Desire to teach at scale, engage with a broad array of learners, and question your assumptions about what’s most important for learners
• Desire to leverage online tools to publish quickly, gather user feedback, and iterate on content
• Impeccable command of written communication; an energetic can-do attitude as a fluent and efficient content creator, a keen editorial eye for high-quality text in exercises and articles, and a knack for empowering, supportive peer review
• Meticulous attention to detail and time management skills
• Project management skills (e.g. fluent with Google docs and spreadsheets and other tools) and a willingness to learn new tools
• A passion for education and a desire to change the world
