The Paralegal is responsible for supporting the Legal and Government Affairs Department and internal clients as assigned under the direction of supervising attorney(s).

Responsibilities

• Create, prepare, review, proof, edit and manage documents, including corporate records, correspondence, reports and presentations
• Research and analyze issues in a wide variety of subject areas of health care law affecting Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) customers and pharmacies
• Investigate and monitor legal issues impacting PBMs, PBM customers and pharmacies; resolve or escalate legal issues as needed
• Create and submit regulatory submissions, filings, renewals, notifications, and periodic reports related to licensed functions (e.g., Pension Protection Act (PPA), Third Party Administrator (TPA), Utilization Review (UR), business and state registrations), and others as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• Paralegal Certificate and/or Associates degree in Paralegal Studies or related field of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma from an accredited school or GED required
• 2 years of experience within a Legal or Compliance related role

ROLE:

This full-time staff person will provide administrative, legal research, and litigation support services for CATF’s nine member attorney Legal team, and the CATF programs they serve. Position Summary:

KIND seeks a paralegal to support KIND’s delivery of legal services to KIND clients across KIND field offices and teams through a range of case support tasks in coordination with our attorneys. The National Team is comprised of attorneys and paralegals who fill a critical role at KIND by deploying remotely and, as needed, in person, to work with field offices experiencing staffing vacancies. Members of the National Team also work across KIND to help identify trends and patterns. This position will work across the Legal Programs department, and will also provide regular support to KIND’s Family Separation Team in delivering legal services to separated families who have been reunified in the United States. Paralegals are responsible for conducting client intakes, legal research, preparation of immigration forms, drafting affidavits, maintaining files and data, travel preparation, social services referrals, and other related duties. The Paralegal reports to an attorney on the National Team. Occasional travel will be required to assist teams needing in-person support.

Essential Functions:

• Provide support to attorneys, including conducting legal research; filling out immigration benefits and other standard forms, specifically for humanitarian parole and employee authorization documents; drafting affidavits; assisting with documentation and logistics in preparation for travel to the U.S.; maintaining case files and data entry in case management database; and other tasks as needed.
• Translating documents and assisting with overall administrative duties of the local office, including database management, operations, technical support, and similar, and may include other administrative duties for the office such as mail processing, supplies, and related tasks.

Qualifications and Requirements:

KIND seeks a full-time Paralegal to join its Family Separation team within the organization’s Legal Services component. The Paralegal will be part of KIND’s legal strategy, technical assistance and training arm within the Legal Services team and will report to a Senior Attorney on the Family Separation Team. The Paralegal will work alongside the Managing Attorney and the rest of the Family Separation Team, to provide legal and administrative support to assist children and families impacted by family separation and other emerging legal and policy changes affecting migrant children seeking safe haven in the U.S. The Paralegal will provide litigation assistance, data management, legal support, and office administration in a cutting-edge area of work on behalf of highly vulnerable children. Role Responsibilities:

In this role, you will play an integral role in insurance product development and innovation. You will be responsible for supporting the product compliance team with its preparation and review filings. Day to day, your work may include a review of forms for new and existing insurance products, partnering with the technology team to implement approved filings, Vouch's online product, and assisting with audits and QA of forms. This role is a great opportunity for motivated insurance or compliance professionals looking to transition into a product compliance practice.

Job Duties:

* Assist with the development, preparation, and submission of form, rate, and rule product filings for Commercial P&C Insurance

* Work cross-functionally with teams across the company to develop the overall filing strategy* Review and analyze state insurance department statutes, regulations, and bulletins to determine filing and regulatory requirements; provide guidance and direction to business units as needed* Work directly with third-parties to draft and complete filings* Assist with problem solving techniques and regulatory concerns* Manage communication and negotiation of filings with the department of insurance that will result in timely approval of company products* Coordinate filing material including transmittals and filing memos with actuarial and product innovation team* Stay current on changes and developments that impact insurance design, development, and filing requirements* Monitor bureau (ISO) circulars to determine the impact of form, loss costs, and rule changes as applicable and communicate action required to implement those changes* Manage master forms list and approved forms library for each applicable program* Perform periodic audits to ensure policy issuance conforms to approved filings* Send monthly filing reports to the carrier

About you:

* Working understanding of insurance form, rate, and rule filing process

* Adept at bringing creative insurance product ideas to solve ambiguous problems* Exceptional communication skills, with an emphasis on real-time interaction, either written or verbal* A strong ambition and excitement to focus on the customer, technology startups* Excitement to learn to work with key tools including Verisk / ISO and SERFF* Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with the ability to prioritize high impact work* 3+ years of experience in Commercial P&C preferred* High school diploma or equivalent

Salary Range:

The pay range for this role is: $55,000 to $65,000 per year.

Hims & Hers is looking for an outstanding Commercial Counsel to join our growing, collaborative Legal team. You will have the opportunity to work closely with teams across the company to help negotiate and document transactions and commercial relationships. You will get to work on interesting and novel issues that arise from the intersection of healthcare, technology, and ecommerce.

Responsibilities:

• Review, draft, and negotiate inbound and outbound commercial agreements, including but not limited to SaaS Agreements, Services Agreements, and Influencer/Marketing Agreements.
• Review and negotiate information security agreements such as data processing agreements (DPA) and business associate agreements (BAA).
• Advise cross-functional teams on legal risks, issues and strategy.
• Assist with Hims & Hers’ contracting process and help implement policies and procedures for contract management.

Required Experience:

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
• Minimum 4 years of practicing law at a firm and/or in-house
• Experience drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, including licensing agreements, marketing/advertising agreements, and supplier or distribution agreements
• Experience drafting and negotiating a variety of information security agreements
• Ability to provide solution-focused advice

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working with SaaS/Software agreements
• Team-oriented mindset and positive attitude
• Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Experience working in a fast paced technology company, start up or health care
