About the job:

As a data analyst within Digital Customer Experience, you will support the planning and execution of processes and technology used to support the onboarding of P&C Claims data from new Helmsman third-party administration (TPA) takeover customers. Experience/familiarity working with P&C Claims data preferred.

Your Expertise:

Within one month, you will

Start building a trusting relationship with your direct reports and peers.

About you

You are a polyglot hacker in the AI/ML space who wants to build and lead a world-class team to push the boundaries of AI, with a particular focus on leveraging Sourcegraph’s code intelligence to leapfrog competitors.

First, you have a deep understanding of programming languages, and tools that manipulate code. This could have taken any number of forms; e.g.:

You’ve worked with grammars and parser generators, or Treesitter
You’ve worked with compilers and semantic analysis, e.g. type systems
You’ve written an interpreter, or worked on a virtual machine
You’ve done static analysis involving scanning source code for semantic information

It doesn’t really matter how you know it, but it’s important that you’re familiar with the basic concepts of semantic representations of source code, and how they’re produced and consumed by tooling.

Second, your AI background could look like a few different things:

You’ve worked on AI systems and have built ML at large tech companies
You have a deep ML background and have demonstrated an ability to be customer and company focused
You are hands-on and can build machine learning
You are a Prompt Engineer and can take models and figure out how to speak to it in a way that yields different results
You are an entrepreneurial engineer who can hack together prototypes quickly, get things out the door, and iterate
You are an LLM hacker or a thought leader in the LLM space and can craft a roadmap that takes advantage of the space, especially with code intelligence
You’ve worked in NLP or language models at a top-tier research lab

If you’ve been anywhere in the field lately, you can probably pick up enough about LLM capabilities to be able to drive this space, as it’s all greenfield.

Finally, you shouldn’t be a purist about languages. We may need to integrate the coding assistant into a wide variety of tooling contexts, each with its own programming language. You may find yourself writing in several programming languages along the journey, and hopefully you already know most of them a little anyway.

Compensation

We pay you an above-average salary because we want to hire the best people who are fully focused on helping Sourcegraph succeed, not worried about paying bills. You will have the flexibility to work and live anywhere in the world (unless specified otherwise in the job description), and we’ll never take your location or current/past salary information into account when determining your compensation. As an open and transparent company that values equitable and competitive compensation for everyone, our compensation ranges are visible to every single Sourcegraph Teammate. To determine your salary, we use a number of market and data-driven salary sources and target the high-end of the range, ensuring that we’re always paying above market regardless of where you live in the world.

The target compensation for this role is $243,000 USD base.

About the Role

Reporting to the CTO, the Director of Data and Analytics should be comfortable with managing systems and projects in a national IT environment. Who You Are

Master’s and/or Bachelor’s in computer science, Information Technology, or any other related field or relevant experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Data Governance/MDM in a technical capacity

Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $168,600 – $228,229. About This Role

About the Role

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing a team of 5-10 direct reports (engineers and team leads), as well as growing the Super Dispatch products.

In this role, you’ll be working closely with colleagues across Growth, Operations, Engineering, Data Science, Product, Design, Sales, and Marketing to bring your ideas to life.

Your main responsibility areas include people management, team execution and business value delivery, and technical leadership. As an experienced technical leader, and with the help of tech leads in your team, you will own the technical and process responsibilities within your team.

Your manager will onboard you and will work closely with you through mentorship and coaching. During the onboarding process, together with your manager, you will define what success looks like for you, and together, you will build your 3-6-12-month plan based on that.

We believe that great managers get involved just enough to make sure their teams are executing effectively and their reports are growing quickly—and then they get out of the way and empower their teams to own as much responsibility as possible.

What You’ll Do

You will collaborate with leadership to create and communicate the vision, high-level roadmap, and technical strategy for your team, ensuring every engineer understands how their project contributes to the company goals. You will set the direction for your engineering team, anticipate strategic and scaling-related challenges via long-term planning. You will measure performance of the team and improve it.

Most of what you’ll do can be ided into the following 3 categories.

You will manage people.

You will manage team execution and delivery.

You will work with a product manager and the team to draft and distribute well-written requirements into reasonably sized cards. You will define periodic delivery milestones within engineering resource and business requirement constraints. You will validate that the deliverables are meeting product and business requirements before they are released.
You will track the team’s efficiency and quality of deliverables at SDLC and regularly adjust processes and timelines to ensure high quality is delivered.
You will identify bottlenecks in the process and roadblocks to success for your team and clear these roadblocks.
You will monitor execution and delivery for the engineering team, identifying risks and solutions, and driving improvements.
You will ensure alignment across teams.

You will provide technical leadership.

You will own a large responsibility for producing software that is highly available, monitorable, and maintainable over time.
When needed, you will be hands-on in the software development process. You will spend less time writing code, but you will be willing to get your hands dirty to help your team achieve their goals. You will set a high standard on coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
You will be expected to understand what the team is doing, the details, and the trade-offs the team is making, even if you are not necessarily doing the code reviews or writing the code.
You will act as a leader for the technical roadmap of your team.
You will identify areas of strategic technical debt, do the cost/benefit analysis for resolving this debt, and communicate suggested timelines for prioritizing this to the management team.

Minimum requirements

You have Advanced-level English skills, especially Speaking and Writing.
You have at least 2 years of experience managing a team of 5-15 people (full-stack, backend, mobile), across various technologies.
You have managed process and organizational design improvements, and hired and supported successful teams.
You have demonstrated experience in Lean/Agile management practices.
You have delivered several large projects (in the context of your team) successfully in the past 3 years.
You have 5+ years of experience developing software as an IC engineer.
You have a strong technical background as a Senior Engineer for at least 3 years on the web backend written in Python, Java, or a similar high-level programming language:
As a manager, you’ll provide daily guidance to people whose job is to build software and solve technical problems.
It’s crucial that you’re able to recognize bad patterns and help your team avoid them. We expect managers to identify areas in which their teams need technical guidance, and either provide it themselves or find help from experts outside the team. They should also be able to ask detailed questions to guide their team to good solutions.
We are looking for engineering managers who are experienced engineers, and when presented with a problem can quickly identify and focus on the difficult parts. We want to see candidates recognize where complexities might arise in their design, and what parts of their solution might break at scale.

About you

Work with our Ephemeral Environments team to ensure that product engineers can rapidly spin up fully-working environments to test all of their code

What we’re looking for:

Minimum requirements:
- 5+ years of experience working with modern web application language / framework (Kotlin/Ruby/Python or similar)
- 3+ years of experience with scripting and supporting multiple AWS Resources (ie, EC2, RDS, IM, S3, Lambda, API Gateway)
- 3+ years of experience with setting up observability for complex web applications, including automation and continuous improvement of alerting, monitoring, dashboards, logging using techs such as DataDog, NewRelic, AWS Cloudwatch
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.

Preferred qualifications:
- Experience building and maintaining high-volume, high-uptime CI/CD systems and related technologies (e.g. Jenkins, GithubActions, AWS CDK, Terraform, Gradle, Helm, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of Linux architecture, administration, troubleshooting, and production operations – including automation via shell scripting (ie, Bash)
- Skills in building CI/CD pipelines covered by automated tests
- Ability to inspire other people to work with you, and the skills to remain engaged with a fully-remote team
- A willingness to learn on the job and take on tasks as needed
- Experience with tools similar to Artifactory, harness, etc.

At Upstart, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The anticipated base salary for this position is expected to be within this range: $155,800-$215,500. Your actual base pay will depend on your geographic locationwith our digital first philosophy, Upstart uses compensation regions that vary depending on location. Inidual pay is also determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. About the team

What you’ll do

Stripe’s business is complex and growing, and forecasting its future is

no easy feat. Our forecasting efforts are erse, spanning different

dimensions of our business (geographies, business types), variable time

periods (early-stage vs late-stage users), and methodologies

(traditional time series modeling, ML-based methods). We are looking for

an experienced data scientist to work on the planning, implementation,

and building of infrastructure that enables and automates forecasting

across all of Stripe. This role will also work closely with our Finance

& Strategy team to forecast our financial metrics. If you are

excited about time series modeling and motivated by having an impact on

the business, we want to hear from you.

Develop and build a forecasting framework that can produce regular,
accurate, responsive statistical forecasts to be used for company
planning
Incorporate new statistical modeling and/or machine learning methods
to improve forecast performance
Drive efforts around explanation of forecast trends, development of
new accuracy metrics, and estimation of uncertainty
Bring in new methodology to improve forecast responsiveness to the
macroenvironment, such as COVID and other economic changes
Build what-if’ analysis capabilities to allow business leaders to
quantitatively encode and model their assumptions

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be

Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $168,600 – $228,229. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Responsibilities:

Contribute to Clipboard Health’s data platform which will constitute the backbone of our product decision-making processes, and ML initiatives.
Design data models and push forward our data warehousing solutions, in coordination with stakeholders in Engineering, Product Management, Product Analytics, Data Science, and ML Engineering.
Own production ETL pipelines throughout their entire life cycle.
Deliver infrastructure to enable Data Science and Machine Learning workflows (Databricks, MLFlow, etc).
