About the job

As the Data Analyst you will be responsible to develop and deliver accurate and timely operational metrics and insights to support mission critical business operations including Finance, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success and Partnerships.  You will work with key stakeholders and conduct in-depth analyses of operational performance, build and curate data visualizations and dashboards and prepare and deliver essential presentations to your internal stakeholder.  
 
The role involves

  • Being accountable for the availability and delivery of our corporate metrics and KPIs and providing insights to the business on key SaaS measures

  • Responsible for on-going development and maintenance of the budgeting and forecasting of the revenue cycle (bookings and revenue)

  • Ensuring that operational / SaaS metrics are accurate and refreshed on a timely basis

  • Proactively identifying operational issues and notifying key stakeholders

  • Helping identify new and supportive metrics and KPIs

  • Capturing, organizing and prioritizing end user requirements and translating them into intuitive information solutions

  • Collaboration with the Enterprise Data Architecture team to identify new data sources and data models required to feed our business intelligence tools

  • Creating best-practice reports and dashboards based on comprehensive data mining, analysis, and visualization

  • Administering our BI tool, including content organization and security access

  • Converting insights into a story-telling format for all audiences

  • Developing and maintaining protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning corporate data

  • Administering our BI tool, including content organization and security access

  • Helping define and maintain a durable information delivery structure and process

  • Documenting the definition and lineage of metrics to create a corporate lexicon

  • Participating in the continuous improvement of decision-making processes within the analytics team.

  • Performing various tasks on a daily basis at the request of the Director of Business Intelligence

 

The Ideal Candidate 

  • Has a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, preferably in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or Computer Science

  • Has 3+ years of relevant experience in data analytics and/or business intelligence in a SaaS software company producing and analyzing SaaS business metrics and KPIs and financial forecasting models

  • Has advanced knowledge of SQL and Excel

  • Is proficient in visualizing data and building reports and dashboards

  • Has experience producing and administering content using dashboarding/reporting tools such as Power BI, Data Studio, Tableau, Looker, etc.

  • Has experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres, MongoDB, Bigtable, etc.

  • Has a profound understanding of data modeling concepts.

  • Experience using analytical data warehouses such as RedShift, BigQuery, and Snowflake is a strong asset.

  • Experience using Python and R is an asset.

  • Can clearly communicate technical information to a non-technical audience

  • Can work independently and prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner, with minimal direction

  • Hitting the ground running, confidently able to draw immediate insights and make recommendations on further improving metrics and information delivery to the company.

  • A proven work ethic that drives the desired results, with an excellent business acumen and excellent project management skills

  • Collaborating effectively with internal end-users and cross-functional teams to solve problems, implement new reporting solutions, and deliver successfully against high standards
