We’re on a mission to end the debt cycleand help our customers and their communities unlock economic mobility for generations to come. Join the team that’s making our goal a reality. At Possible, we’re building a new type of consumer finance company. One that helps our customers stay out of debt rather than profits from them staying in it. As a Public Benefit Corporation, our mission and responsibility are to help communities unlock economic mobilitywith affordable credit products designed to improve financial health.

Founded in 2017, our lead VCs are Canvas and Union Square Ventures. We are a fully distributed company with a global workforce. We have over 100,000 reviews on the App Store with a 4.8 star average rating. Just as we are committed to building a new type of consumer finance company, we are equally dedicated to the employee experience.

The Team

The Legal and Compliance team is a small, high-functioning, and collaborative team. We protect the company from risk while also providing practical guidance to our business partners, helping to foster innovation and growth. Each member of the team is empowered to bring forth new ideas, make changes to or implement new processes, and act as a key advisor on business and team strategy.

Your focus will be to assist with case management, preparing legal correspondence, pleadings and discovery responses, maintaining schedules and deadlines, and other projects as assigned.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with other executives, department managers, and employees in the different departments. The work will also include interactions with partners, outside counsel, and state regulators.

This work includes assisting in-house counsel with litigation and pre-litigation matters, documentation, and processes. Build a system and track and ensure that all regulatory deadlines are met. Draft and proofread legal correspondence, and build templates for responses. Facilitate prompt, efficient, and professional communication with employees, service providers, and business partners.
