Dray Alliance is in search of a dynamic and experienced Director of Business Analytics to help drive the company’s financial success. In this critical role, you will report to Dray Alliance’s CFO and partner closely with senior leaders across the company to ensure the company is making strategic decisions in an analytically robust and data-driven manner.

- Build the Business Analytics function at Dray Alliance
- Identify business opportunities, both independently and in partnership with leadership, and evaluate alternative courses of action in a data-driven manner.
- Develop data-driven solutions that go beyond mere numbers, providing insight into strategic questions that are easy to understand, relevant to the business, and enable decision making
- Independently lead analytics projects end to end, with accountability for delivering project outcomes, driving projects to on-time completion, including project managing the scope, schedule, and resources assigned to these projects
- Lead discussions representing analytical findings, alternatives, and recommendations to senior company leadership
- Coach less experienced team members on both technical and soft skills
- Create self-serve analytics tools for business users, helping them understand both the tools and the intuition behind them
- Ensuring leadership makes data-driven, fully-informed strategic decisions
- Ensuring leadership has meaningful visibility into company performance
- Building out a team of high-performing analysts
- Effectively identifying and prioritizing opportunities to maximize impact
- Establishing yourself and your team as trusted and critical cross-functional partners
- Creating a collaborative, empowering, and growth-oriented environment for your team
- Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years experience in analytics-related roles
- Proficiency with SQL and business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to glean actionable insights from imperfect data in a timely manner
- Passion for data and using it to tell compelling stories, identify opportunities and solve challenging business problems
- Ability to quickly learn, adapt and otherwise thrive in a dynamic, fast-growing start-up
- Independent problem-solving abilities and comfort with ambiguity; able to appropriately identify and scope unstructured issues and solve them without guidance
- Ability to clearly communicate and collaborate with internal and external customers to build trusted partnerships
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in data science, computer science, mathematics, finance, economics, or a related field
- Master's degree in Business Analytics
- Proficiency with Python and/or R
- Finance acumen, specifically, pricing and profitability analysis
