About the role
We're seeking a Founding Product Engineer at Move AI. This isn't a regular role - you'll be critical to the development of our product, from user research to front-end execution. You will have a significant equity stake in the business. If you have experience in design and full-stack development, that's exactly what we need. You'll spend weeks in Figma and then weeks coding.
About you
You want to work on a small team of people who are all builders. We're looking for someone who can communicate clearly and directly. You have the ability to identify the core issues. You should have substantial experience in product design and development, or enough to know where the usual potholes are. You're adept at using Figma and making quick, informed decisions. You know how to create a front end website using a modern javascript framework.

What you'll own
Perform user research to understand the moving process and our customers painpoints better.
Work with the team to develop design an overall design strategy
Create many creative concepts quickly in Figma
Get feedback on those designs from the team
Iterate on feedback.
Making it real: You'll translate Figma to a front end html, css and javascript. Your ability to connect design to back-end/AI/ML is key.

What we're seeking
Must haves
Proficiency in rapid prototyping and interface design tools such as Figma.
Demonstrated ability to design user-centric products based on user research.
Proven ability to identify and address root problems efficiently.
Direct, straightforward communication style, able to convey complex concepts with clarity.
Ability to work independently and make quick decisions based on your experience and judgement.
A track record of shipping high-quality software products on time.
Experience with agile development methodologies and a preference for a fast-paced, iterative design and development process.
Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks and libraries (React, Vue, Angular).
Nice to Haves
Strong experience with full-stack development. We need you to be able to contribute across the entire tech stack
Experience or interest in AI and machine learning, as our product heavily relies on these technologies.
Prior work in a startup environment. Comfort with quick changes and a high degree of autonomy is beneficial.
Knowledge or experience about the moving process. Certainly not a deal breaker if you've never moved in your life, but probably a red flag if you've lived in the same place your whole life.
Back-end experience, particularly with cloud services and databases.
