Your mission

Your mission is to continuously raise the quality and safety of Birdie’s products, by partnering with our delivery and clinical teams.

< class="h3">How you will contribute
  • You will work with engineers & product managers to design and implement low-overhead & high-return automated testing strategies.
  • You will work with teams to iterate, when necessary, on the best processes to identify and mitigate risks before we release products to our customers’ hands.
  • You will facilitate root cause analysis(es) and follow-up on squads’ actions aimed at improving the overall quality.
  • You will coach and advocate to team members about QA best practices.
  • You will ensure squads do their necessary parts for Birdie to be compliant with ISO 13485, NHS DCB0129 and ISO 27001;

Requirements

  • You are meticulous and continuously demonstrate an ability to challenge the status-quo, think outside of the box and identify edge cases;
  • You agree that QA doesn’t mean “manual testing” but is a very broad discipline that should be as automated as possible on various angles (regression, performance, security, …);
  • You have a deep understanding of various testing approaches, especially tool-assisted exploratory testing;
  • You have experience with HealthCare software and have worked in medical device / regulated environments (desirable);
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills in English and can work with cross-functional teams to create and execute plans;
  • You can prioritize what is most important and create repeatable processes to improve common workflows;
  • You understand that empathizing with our customers, building relationships with your co-workers, and going deep into the product makes you a better teammate and a better engineer;
  • You are someone who is inspired by, and seeks to embody our values;

Measuring Success

  • Within your first month, you will absorb fundamental knowledge about Birdie’s product and ways of working.
  • Within your third month, you have demonstrated the ability to articulate, lead and implement quality improvements for one team.
  • Within your sixth month, you will be identified as the quality champion at Birdie.

    • a 90 min video call with 2 members of the tech team to deep e into your experience
    • a 45 min video call to discuss your motivation
    • a 45 min video call with the CEO or a co-founder
    Usually, our hiring process lasts on average 2 weeks and offers usually come within 48 hours.
