WAYPOINT is a creative production company specialized in: Marketing Art, Game Development, Collectibles and E-commerce projects for mid-sized to AAA clients such as Skybound, Mattel, Konami, Blizzard, Pokémon, Bandai, Ubisoft and more.

MISSION

Do you want to be part of an exciting company focused on video game marketing and development? This one is for you. We are looking for a talented Video Art Director with an eye for detail and great style. You will work daily translating scripts into style frames and storyboards, and developing the visual look and feel for video content across a variety of titles.

Your job will include looking development in the form of static mockups (Photoshop, Figma) which will inform the design for each video. Then, you will take charge of the animation plan, giving notes and guiding the motion design team through production as well as ensuring overall quality control.

YOU

  • Have a passion for the game industry and knowledge of current designs trends in gaming and in the world of design (read: you are always saving type faces on tik tok, watching game trailers, and keeping design inspiration ready to draw from)
  • Skilled in Graphic Design – advanced knowledge in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. Figma is a plus. Have the ability to adapt to a number of different looks and styles.
  • Knowledge of the video production pipeline from concepting through post-production.
  • Have strong video storytelling skills – taking note of camera movements, transitions, and how they help tell the story
  • Have the ability to create style frames and storyboards using design software
  • Positive, proactive, open to feedback, and willing to learn and work with a team, making sure the execution matches the concept
  • Are open to working in a fast-paced environment, finish projects on time, and according to the established parameters by the clients and creative leadership
  • Will collaborate on creating artistic concepts with the Creative team and take them through to completion
  • Have a degree in Graphic Design, multimedia design, or portfolio equivalent
  • Great English written and spoken
  • Must submit a portfolio showing erse works in different styles and moods
  • Applications without a portfolio will not be considered
