We are looking for a Principal QA Automation Engineer to join our team and drive the automation framework architecture and design. You will apply your experience and knowledge in reviewing requirements, creating test plans, detailed test cases, test reports, and producing quality assurance metrics. With your help, Boulevard will innovate and scale faster than ever. You’re a perfect fit for this role if you:
- Passionate about improving STLC experience.
- Hands-on leader who can drive complex technical solutions across the organization to improve product quality.
- Strong oral, written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Create standard methodologies/processes at an organizational level.
- Experience with AWS cloud-hosted applications and services.
What you’ll do here:
- Work in partnership with engineering and product management to deliver business functionality with required quality while meeting the acceptance criteria.
- Architect, design and maintain the testing framework, testing tools, testing environment and testing standard across the organization.
- Write test cases and scenarios from the requirements/designs.
- Trigger, monitor, and control the execution of automated test suites, identifying issues and potential gaps. Mentor and guide engineering in testing of all levels.
- Capture quality assurance data and metrics to provide insights and conclusions.
What you’ll need to thrive:
- Experience: 8+ years of QA Automation experience.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience setting up the automation model for web-based applications and web services.
- Experience: Experience with Ruby (or Elixir), React, Typescript and CICD tools like CircleCI.
- Defining Quality Metrics: Defining quality metrics for the current project/product. Working with all stakeholders to ensure that the quality metrics are reviewed and agreed upon. Create a list of milestones and checkpoints and set measurable criteria to check the quality on a timely basis.
- Defining Testing Strategies: Defining processes for the test plan and multiple phases of the testing cycle. Ensuring all development tasks meet quality criteria through test planning, test execution, quality assurance, and issue tracking. Review test strategies and see that all the various kinds of testing like unit, functional, performance, stress, acceptance, etc. are getting covered.
- Managing Risks: Understanding and defining areas to calculate the overall risk to the project. Creating strategies to mitigate those risks and take necessary measures to control the risks. Communicating or creating awareness among all the stakeholders for the various risks.
How We’ll Take Care Of You:
Your starting cash compensation for this role is between $185,000 and $264,000 USD, depending on your current skills, experience, training, and overall market demands. This salary range is subject to change, and there is always room for growth and advancement.
