This is a remote position.

About the Job:

We are a relatively small and very dynamic organization that is on a growth path with a globally distributed team. We are looking for a smart, adaptive, and quick learner for a QA Engineer position in our organization to work with our global team to continue to build our market-leading software, initially working primarily with other US team members.

Responsibilities:

You will work with a small team of software and QA engineers to test pre-released products and internal tools.  Duties will quickly grow to include:

  • Test and verify the quality of server and client products as part of a new feature testing or sustaining process
  • Develop and maintain tools and automation frameworks to allow proper regression testing of products under a variety of scenarios
  • Write and maintain documents of test cases, test plans, and test systems
  • Work with development teams to understand issues required to reproduce and test
  • Propose and advocate product features and processes that improve test-ability and quality

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in a technical subject from a recognized university
  • A high degree of analytical and problem-solving skills
  • QA/testing or software development exposure
  • Proficiency in Python and/or bash scripting
  • Proficiency with Linux and networking
  • Experience with QA automation
  • Distributed systems, NoSQL databases, storage
  • Experience in any cloud environments (AWS, GCE, Azure) or platforms (OpenStack, CloudStack, etc.) and SDK/APIs
  • Experience in any Object Storage systems (Amazon S3, OpenStack Swift, Ceph, Scality, Cleversafe, etc)
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and DevOps related technologies
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities as needed
