The business problem we are solving?
We are in search of a designer who has a strong passion for investing and can assist us in speeding up our product discovery process.
The objective of the role and how you will make an impact
Our goal is to enhance the customer experience on Simply Wall St by providing a seamless journey across all digital touch-points, both on the web and mobile. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to solve original design problems for retail investors and take ownership of your solutions from discovery to delivery. The role will be a mix of both UX (30%) and UI (70%).
We encourage collaboration and value your input in identifying product opportunities and finding solutions.
Key projects/interesting challenges you will work on
Our teams are responsible for solving various customer problems. As a member of our team, you will tackle complex investing challenges and contribute to important projects such as: Participating in user research alongside product managers to refine design decisions and product directions, Enhancing portfolio protection and growth for investors, Improving the stock analysis experience for investors through custom visualisations and interactions, Expanding growth channels to reach more customers and provide value faster, Collaborating on a design system and component library.
What is unique about this role?
You will get the opportunity to work in a small team where you can focus on creating timeless designs directly to consumers.
It’s important for our designers to fully understand the data and analysis behind the design and how that helps users accomplish what they want to achieve or learn. We iterate through qualitative research sessions.
Current team structure and how the team work together?
We currently have 50 employees in Simply Wall St, most are based in APAC, with 4 product teams and 2 designers. You will join a small cross-functional team with a focus on one pillar of our product. We work in an agile environment and follow OKRs as our goal-setting and alignment framework.
What is important to us for hiring for this role?
We are looking for an inidual with exceptional visual and interface design abilities, who has a passion for data visualisation. Someone who is enthusiastic about the stock market and has invested, as a recent first-time investor or has been investing for a few years. Additionally, you should possess excellent product sense, enjoy exploring design options to uncover groundbreaking ideas and be attuned to small details that could have a significant impact.
