IT Project Manager
B2U Storage Solutions, Inc. (B2U) develops and operates large scale battery energy storage systems (ESS) utilizing EV batteries in stationary storage applications. B2U uses patented technology to deliver a 40%+ cost advantage and a superior Levelized Cost of Storage (LCOS) over competing systems. B2U’s hybrid ESS facility in Lancaster, CA has been operational since March 2020. B2U closed a $10M Series investment led by Marubeni Corp. in September 2021.
Job Description
The Information Technology Project Manager will manage initiatives to enhance and evolve the company’s information systems architecture and interfaces between site-based systems and the cloud. This position requires both project management and direct hands-on system configuration and development. Responsibilities will include:
- Managing internal and third-party resources engaged in development activities. Company’s current initiatives include work by consulting firm to migrate to Microsoft Azure and IoT Edge platform battery storage facility performance monitoring and management. Company has used GCP as cloud platform to date.
- Evolving deployment of ticketing system for company’s TechOps personnel and tracking of core assets (batteries)
- Interfacing with the market facing systems that automate battery resource scheduling in wholesale markets
- Close work with Engineering on system diagnostics and real time dashboard capabilities for functional testing
- Supporting company’s business intelligence capabilities to enhanced reporting and analytics capabilities. Company currently migrating from use of Qlik to Power BI
- Managing IT hardware at project sites
- Overseeing/Communicating with third party technology providers (e.g. SCADA consultants)
Qualifications and Experience
- 5+ years in some combination of Software Engineering and IT Project Management
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or related field.

Skills/Requirements
- Strong IT project management experience
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Azure and IoT Edge platform
- Experience with Kepserver, RTAC, Database Architecture, PowerBI or other BI tools
- Highly motivated self-starter, hands-on, team player
- Excellent planning, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Thrives in entrepreneurial environment and able to perform in multiple capacities
- Strong organizational skills; process oriented
Compensation
Salary range of $90,000 - $140,000 plus stock options, based upon experience and performance. Additional company benefits, and incentives will be discussed during the interview process.
