This role is for a Founding Engineer. You will report to our CTO, Ben. This is a full-time role located in the San Francisco Bay Area.

You’re a good fit if:

You are excited about advancements in AI (especially generative AI) and the capabilities it unlocks. You like to tinker in the space, build PoCs, and play with the latest LLM techniques.

You empathize with the developers and domain experts who build AI products. You know what it’s like to build systems with non-deterministic models and the challenges that come with it. You are excited to try out ideas you have for how to improve the developer experience when building AI products.

You bias towards action. You know how to balance quality with shipping velocity. You don’t get hung up on unlikely edge cases or far fetched scenarios.

You are comfortable and even thrive in uncertainty. We’re a pre-Product-Market-Fit company, we don’t have all the answers. You are able to take vague ideas, find the concrete parts that matter, and turn those into features or improvements that deliver value for our customers.

You are not necessarily an expert programmer, but your skills are sharp enough to start contributing to a non-trivial code base your first couple days on the job. You’ve worked with a few languages and are familiar with web development technologies and frameworks. You have opinions on the web frameworks and languages you use based on your personal experience. You know JavaScript/Typescript. Bonus if you have Elixir Phoenix or Ruby on Rails experience and are excited to learn Phoenix.
