About the role

We’re looking for a part-time Product Designer contractor with capacity for ~20 hours a week. As the second member of the design team, you’ll partner closely with our engineering, product, and design team to work on our core product initiatives. You’ll have the autonomy to make design decisions that will impact the entire product UX. You’ll interact directly with customers to understand their pain points, ideate and iterate quickly with your engineering teammates, and see your solution come to life within the same sprint cycle.

What you'll do

* Partner across the company to unlock new business opportunities for our Importer product

* Collaborate within the design team to define new UI patterns and extend the design system* Own the end-to-end design process from ideation to high fidelity deliverables that are ready for engineering* Work with our CEO on customer-facing collateral

Who you are

Essentials:

* 3+ years of design experience working with engineers and product managers

* At least one example of work (preferably a desktop/web app) that launched to real users* Strong understanding of interaction best practices and visual design principles* Self-driven, motivated, and a fast learner.* Believes in doing your best work when collaborating with others, but also knows when you need time to focus independently* Proactive and clear communicator when explaining your design rationale* Strong proficiency with Figma

Even better if you have:

* Experience working with designers and engineers on design systems

* Designed products that involves business workflows or interacting with spreadsheet data* Experience planning and leading user research sessions
