What you'll do

The successful candidate will be responsible for the integration of Machine Learning models in production environment in agreement with the global R&D roadmap. Following software development good practices, he will facilitate operations between data scientists and software engineers. In collaboration with the rest of the R&D team and the development team, he will help to develop state-of-the-art products that leverage big data towards innovative SEO and conversion optimisation and website creation. This position reports to the R&D Engineering Team Lead.

• Work closely with the rest of the R&D team to gather data that can be used for model development;
• Work closely with the rest of the data scientists to convert experimental code into production code following development team practices; 
• Follow an agile and flexible team organisation in order to deliver optimal performance for each project; 
• You are a Data engineer who can:
  o Work closely with the stakeholders and the data scientist to define product requirements;
  o Collaborate with internal team members (SEO, Conversion, Data scientists) on best practices, prioritization and integration of end-to-end ML products;
  o Deliver exceptional work and innovative models; on strategy and on-time;
  o Remain up-to-date with industry standards and technological advancements that will improve the quality of your outputs;
  o Monitor and anticipate data related issues, its management and governance;

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, or proven equivalent experience in a technical organization or related field; 
• 1+ year of experience in relevant positions; 
• Proficiency in Software Engineering skills along with a deep understanding of Python, code review best practices and industry standard methodologies; 
• Database management and operations (relational, schema-less, columnar); 
• Proficient with ETL tools such as Airflow and Analytics Engines for large-scale data processing such as Spark and its ecosystem; 
• Attention to details and ability to multi-task in a challenging and fast environment; 
• Strategic thinker, able to anticipate, think critically, evaluate, and act; 
• A communicator and relationship builder, able to navigate effectively across organizations and culture. 
• Experience with Unix-based systems, including bash programming

Strong consideration will be provided to candidates that also offer the following:

• Previous experience on taking ML/DL models into production, including lifecycle management, version control (DVC); 
• Experience of SQL preferably knowledge of Athena 
• Experience with Agile Project Management tools such as Jira;
• Experience in cloud platform (GCP, AWS or Azure), AWS will be a plus (Athena, S3, EMR Serverless);
• Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies;
