About the role:

We are a fully remote team and are looking for a freelance rockstar IT Support Specialist to monitor and maintain the company’s IT systems, install, and configure software, and solve technical issues as they arise.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops and software
  • Serve as the subject-matter expert supporting Mac OS X, Windows, and widely used software and applications, such as Microsoft, Adobe, and Google Workspace
  • Handling email deliverability issues
  • Answering employee questions regarding computer systems
  • Gathering and analyzing data to diagnose problems with computer systems
  • Changing configurations, settings and permissions to fix computer issues
  • Installing new software and hardware drivers and updating existing ones as needed
  • Documenting processes and performing diagnostic tests.

Requirements Include:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or similar.
  • 5+ years of experience as an IT support specialist.
  • Certifications are preferred, but not required.
  • Exceptional ability to provide technical support and resolve queries.
  • Experience working with remote teams and bringing issues to resolution.
  • In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks.
  • In-depth knowledge of email system
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information
  • Team-oriented attitude to help other colleagues and departments with technical problems.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage time, be responsive and effectively prioritize numerous projects at one time.

Hours: Part-time. Any time zone in the US.
