Payer Products is connecting providers and payers to create the Internet of Healthcare. Our team builds and implements a suite of Software as a Service (SaaS) products that integrate across Electronic Health Record systems and payer systems, with intuitive workflows and deep healthcare expertise. Our SaaS platform accelerates prior authorizations for providers and enables the first-in-the-world real-time AI clinical reviews.

 

Principal Business Analyst will be responsible for evaluating business features to address customer pain-point analyses, updating / managing business cases, and designing solutions to business problems. A typical day for this detail-oriented and collaborative professional will include engaging both internally and externally to gather, analyze and document requirements of various types, packaging those requirements into meaningful, readable formats and manage implementation of those requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.

 

The ideal candidate will have exceptionally strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and research skills to enable execution of key responsibilities such as:

  • Conduct market research to evaluate customer needs and evaluate the regulatory landscape, including unpacking regulatory and compliance requirements to support solution design
  • Assist scrum team and project managers in task identification and managing of User Stories throughout the SDLC
  • Develop comprehensive acceptance criteria for all business requirements
  • Manage each assigned task and hold regular stakeholder meetings to keep all interested parties updated in task progress
  • Help with sprint-related bandwidth management and the prioritization of work items
  • Ensure product deliverables are consistent by analyzing, creating and documenting design standards and building implementation guides

 

We are looking for an inidual that has extensive experience in healthcare core administrative solutions, medical necessity, payment integrity and/or contracts management in healthcare.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business administration, healthcare administration, computer science, or related fields from an accredited college or university
  • 7+ years of work experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in product management or IT consulting environment
  • 4+ years of experience in a health care or regulatory environment
  • 3+ years of experience in a software development environment with emphasis in the Requirement Analysis, Planning and Testing phases
  • Expert level experience in Productivity Suites (MS Excel, Word, PPT, Visio) and equivalent Google Apps
  • Experience with engaging clients on subject matters related to Medicare and/or Medicaid contracting, payment policies, data, and software
  • Knowledge of Medicare and/or Medicaid reimbursement methodologies (PPS, DRG, APC, RBRVS, etc.)
  • Experience with software project tracking and change management tools (JIRA, Targetprocess, etc.)
  • Experience with identifying process gaps
  • Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
