Title: Supplier Quality Functional Excellence Team Lead

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Supplier Quality Functional Excellence Team Lead to join Supplier Quality Functional Excellence team in a virtual capacity.

This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and will not require the selected candidate to relocate.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads a team of subject matter experts (SME) and project managers responsible and accountable for the BDS Supplier Quality processes and projects.
  • Possesses the ability to create and analyze metrics and reports to ensure continuous process improvements; authors command media and develops training for applicable process enhancements.
  • Defines system requirements, performs costs avoidance/savings analysis, and pursues systems change requests.
  • Leads cross-functional teams and advises leadership in identification of process improvements and associated business value.
  • Leads efforts to interpret and develop solutions to complex enterprise-wide quality issues and presents out to various leadership levels within multiple organizations.
  • Experience in Supplier Quality or Supplier Management Verification with process knowledge in Supplier Quality Surveillance, Supplier Corrective Action, Supplier Product Verification and Boeing First Article Inspection is preferred.
  • Robust knowledge of Supplier Quality functional processes and practices inclusive of experience with Quality Management Systems and Quality Standards such as AS9100.
  • Additionally, the candidate may be expected to work with industry to collaborate in the development of industry standards, and will consult with executive leadership to help determine Boeing policy.
  • Leads the team in integrating with our SQ teammates, site/program focals, management, and customers to identify best practices and “one-Boeing” solutions to current and future business needs.
  • Represents/sounding voice of BDS Supplier Quality (SQ) in day-to-day operations/decisions associated with their processes.
  • Ensures compliance to contractual, legal, regulatory, FAR/DFAR, AS9100, engineering requirements, and business processes during all aspects of the job.
  • Must be self-directed and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communications.
  • Must be able to interact and work across functions and levels to resolve issues.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
  • 10+ years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • 10+ years of experience in project management and/or cross-functional integration
  • 10+ years of experience in quality management systems and process alignment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in data analysis and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
