We are looking for an exceptional Data Science Evangelist to lead our DevRel and open-source community efforts.
What's the role?
You will be leading this movement by evangelising and advocating for open-source data apps. Datapane is part of this, but the focal point of your role will be the movement towards code-first, developer-first tooling.
This is a varied role with extensive scope, but would include:
- Showing the world what you can build using the open-source data ecosystem (as opposed to UI-first tools)
- Creating a groundswell of users around the ideas of code-first and API-first data tooling
- Crafting content such as guides and blogs
- Work with our 5000+ users to highlight the amazing things they're building using our SDK
- Grow and nurture our community and be the advocate for open-source users inside the company
- Building template projects on how to solve common use-cases
- Speak at events to evangelise the data app ecosystem
- Take ownership of our technical documentation and guides
- Help open-source users be successful and happy
This role touches on many skills, and you will be working across product, marketing, and data science.

Requirements
- 2+ years of technical writing experience.
- Strong knowledge of Python and the Python data science ecosystem — you should feel at home writing technical content or hacking on a Jupyter Notebook
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Hands-on experience creating community content, such as guides, documentation, pre-sales materials
- Experience managing and nurturing online communities
