JOB DESCRIPTION
What does a Paralegal do at Green Dot?
As a Paralegal, you will be responsible for coordinating and administering ongoing legal initiatives and projects, including supporting the consumer bank. You will also perform legal research necessary to create and periodically update internal policies and procedures to reflect current legal and regulatory obligations.
As a Paralegal, you can look forward to:
- Supporting consumer bank internal processes such as garnishment and subpoena intake and responses
- Performing legal research and assisting in drafting internal policies and procedures
- Summarizing and presenting research findings to Legal team members
- Compiling, analyzing, and serving as a resource for consumer banking laws and regulations
- Communicating with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information for legal and regulatory proceedings
- Assisting in the drafting, editing, and reviewing of legal documents, contracts, and agreements
- Assisting General Counsel and supporting attorneys in additional projects as needed
- Providing on-going and back-up support to paralegal staff

Required:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant legal experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be proficient with MS Office applications and be able to learn new systems or applications
Preferred:
- Experience in consumer banking
- Familiarity with Westlaw

PAY RANGE
The targeted base salary for this position is $66,300 to $101,300 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
