The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Senior Sourcing Specialist for Global Software, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and erse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Determining and implementing solutions for complex and multi-faceted situations regarding distribution of business, negotiation or commodity strategy, supplier management, source of supply, etc.
• Serving as a subject matter expert to the leadership team for assigned area of specialization.
• Managing sub-commodities, as assigned.
• Leading complex projects as well as initiatives that have a high value and broad implication to the corporation.
• Influencing clients, relative to assigned commodity group, to adopt the integration of sourcing guidelines into business requirements.
• Managing external suppliers to deliver improved benefits to 3M in areas such as technology, quality, responsiveness, delivery, and cost (TQRDC).
• Performing complex contract negotiations, as assigned.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
• Five (5) years of experience in Indirect Sourcing experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Strong background in Software or Information Technology procurement categories with proven experience in a hands-on sourcing role of a FTSE 250 Procurement function.
• Experience in driving category strategies across different market types
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentational skills.
• Strong contract negotiation skills and ability to create/curate associated schedules of legal agreements.
• Proven ability to deliver substantial cost saving and service benefits.
• Working knowledge of Information Technology and the Software/SaaS Industry.
• Ability to motivate, organize and manage self to deliver to challenging deadlines.
• Experience of project managing long term, complex, high value, high risk contracts,
• Strong networking and stakeholder management/influencing skills at senior level.
• Systems/Tools adoption and proficiency

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic

This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
