Secoda is looking for an experienced Head of Sales to join their early stage startup. The ideal candidate should have a successful track record of sales and account management, with a proven ability to qualify, close, and manage strategic accounts.

The HoS will work closely with the sales team to develop and qualify leads, provide first-level customer contact, close deals and manage customer accounts as well as help build the sales team. The ideal candidate should be driven, organized and have the ability to quickly learn about the MDS and Secoda's data discovery tool.

The core responsibilities of this role will include:

* Developing and executing a strategic sales plan for targeting and closing new accounts

* Achieving and exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual targets
* Qualifying potential leads, working with customers to assess their data stack and data discovery needs, understanding business goals and providing the best solution
* Building and managing a continuously growing pipeline
* Scheduling and running online demos for prospects
* Conducting proactive account management activities

The ideal candidate should have:

* 5+ years of sales experience and a demonstrated track record of success

* Proven ability to sell to a technical buyer/Decision Maker
* Proficiency with CRM and sales tools (salesforce)
* The ability to assess customer needs and communicate the value proposition of Secoda’s products and services
* Strong communication, organization and time management skills
* A positive, self-motivated and proactive attitude
* Experience working in a startup environment a plus
* Familiarity with the MDS and data discovery tools a plus
