Pixelmatters is a digital product studio. We’re a team of strategists, designers, and engineers creating top-quality digital products.

Our mission is to empower businesses to achieve their full potential by creating top-quality digital products while fostering great relationships along the way. We envision a world where great user experience is the norm, not the exception, inspiring businesses and people to be at their best.

We’re looking for you — a rigorous, adaptable, and meticulous QA Engineer. A team player who likes to work in a fast-paced agile environment.

Quality is a core part of our process, we're always looking for ways to create the best possible experiences on the projects we work on and it's crucial to ensure that those experiences are delivered with the expected quality. For this reason, we're looking to expand the QA team with an experienced QA Engineer. And here is where you come in...

Your role will focus on validating product quality standards, relying on careful observation, and collaborating with engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans. It's also expected that some of these validations are turned into automated tasks, towards the scalability of the quality processes.

Some of your day-to-day tasks will include UI implementation validation, testing features based on user stories, implementing regression testing strategies, and collaborating on QA team strategy decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or similar role
  • Proficiency in reviewing and analyzing requirements, specifications, and technical documents
  • Experience in various steps of the QA cycle: test planning, test execution, test management, and test report
  • Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test strategies and test cases based on requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Strong visual culture with a keen eye for detail to test complex UI applications
  • Knowledge of different non-functional testing or a strong willingness to learn new techniques and approaches;
  • Experience with automation testing frameworks or a strong willingness to learn about it
  • Good understanding of English and Portuguese (written and spoken)

It would be awesome if you also have...

  • Familiar with version control systems such as Git
  • Proficient in handling multiple browsers, operating systems, and devices
  • Proficient in mobile testing, both for native mobile app testing and web-mobile oriented

Benefits

  • Quality-driven, inspiring and collaborative work environment
  • Competitive salary and benefits, including health insurance
  • For now, you’ll be working fully remote. Over 2022, we’ve planned to open a new office located at Porto’s downtown. You’ll then be able to decide where to work from.
