To dig deep into complex information, use your analytical skills, and help build robust security systems. The ideal candidate has a great time finding vulnerabilities to exploit and enjoys fixing these vulnerabilities through writing secure code with a small team.
Responsibilities
* Help lead product security architecture from a systems and security perspective. Ideally you can spot issues in proposed implementations early, and suggest mitigation or alternative implementations.
* Write code, write secure code, and help your colleagues write secure code. Review code for security vulnerabilities.* Be responsible for a wide range of product and corporate security.* Serve as an additional software engineer for our product roadmap, implementing features when not solving security challenges.* Stay up-to-date with emerging security trends, threats, and technologies, applying this knowledge to improve security. Educate staff about security best practices, fostering a culture of cybersecurity mindfulness.* Act as a security resource for customers when needed.Minimum Qualifications
* Intermediate to advanced skills with Python.
* Comfortable with the Linux command line and shell scripting.* Familiarity with deploying applications with containers.* Good understanding of AWS, cloud providers, and on-premise environments.* Experience with cryptography (PKI, signing, encryption, etc).* Solid understanding of digital security best practices.Preferred skills
* 2+ years of development experience in modern programming languages (Python, Rust, Go, C#, C++).
* Penetration testing experience (black box, white box, anything).* Security software engineer experience - able to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in code.* Experience with SAML, OIDC, and OAuth.* Experience with PIV and WebAuthn.* Knowledge of and experience of implementing preventative measures for SANS Top 25 software errors and OWASP Top 10 web app vulnerabilities.Benefits
