Platform Engineer

Your challenge

Work as a Platform Engineer on the HSP Platform Engineering team building the next iteration of the HealthSuite Platform on AWS. We provide pre-configured AWS accounts to enable teams to run their applications and services in a secure, compliant environment.
You are responsible for

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows for the provisioning, monitoring, and management of AWS accounts and EKS clusters.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure AWS account configurations meet security and compliance standards.
  • Implement AWS security best practices across a wide range of services.
  • Ensure robustness, scalability and security for managed environments.
  • To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following:
  • Bachelor’s in computer science, information technology, or related field preferred.
  • 8 years hands-on experience in platform engineering, systems administration or similar roles.
  • Strong experience with virtualization, containers and Kubernetes(Ingress, Argo CD, CNI)
  • Experience with AWS services such as: EC2, EKS, ECR, S3, VPC.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa, now or in the future.
  • This is a remote role and only candidates living in the West Coast area will be considered.

Philips Transparency Details:
The pay range for this position is $126,000- $233,00.00 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. At Philips, it is not typical for an inidual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
