Title: Director, Client Acquisition – Mid-Market

Role Description:  

The Director, Client Acquisition – Mid-Market is responsible for managing a dynamic, growing, and collaborative team of Client Acquisition managers and inidual contributors of various levels. This leader is an integral part of the ShipBob sales function that is responsible for cross-functional collaboration, innovation, people development, and team success. As a senior member of the organization, this role heavily focuses on process improvement, increasing team member efficiency and ramp time, enabling our managers to be more effective leaders, and driving revenue. This position will report directly to the SVP, North American Sales. 

What you’ll do:  

* Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual forecasting; identify gaps, trends, and variances to forecast versus budget; and proactively implement solutions to hit and exceed goals in the Mid-Market segment. 

* Work closely with the SVP, North American Sales and Mid-Market Client Acquisition managers to improve sales tactics to increase team success and grow revenue in the Mid-Market segment. 
* Increase the team’s efficiency, decrease ramp time, and drive success.
* Proactively coach managers to increase leadership abilities and their team performance.
* Analyze current workflows to define best practices for maximizing efficiency, pipeline strength, and sales productivity.
* Conduct performance reviews and track KPIs for managers and implement appropriate solutions when needed.
* Speak with Mid-Market merchants to ensure they are feeling supported throughout the sales process and uphold the Merchant Experience.
* Encourage transparency and align broader company initiatives with department goals.
* Collaborate with Enablement to continue fostering growth in our sales process and ShipBob product and operations knowledge.
* Other duties/responsibilities as necessary. 

What you’ll bring to the table:  

* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or related field. 

* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Senior Manager or Director-level role required, with a preference for Client Acquisition experience.
* Established track record of success as a department/function leader and manager of other managers.
* Culture carrier and positive influence with the ability to positively motivate others.
* Experience managing a sales team working a book of business.
* Deep understanding of sales metrics and their application to measure success.
* High level of initiative with a ‘get it done’ attitude and great sense of teamwork.
* Comfortable embracing change and more importantly, failure, and learning as we go.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
* Knowledge of Salesforce, Outreach, and other sales tools.
* Excellent management and coaching skills.
