World Relief is seeking a national Private Sponsor Support Coordinator to help us empower churches, groups, and iniduals who are partnering with Ukrainians and others coming through U.S. Private Sponsorship programs. Because Private Sponsorship is a new path of U.S. resettlement for those who have been displaced, this position is ideal for someone who is agile, innovative, collaborative, and ready to hit the ground running. The Private Sponsor Support Coordinator will work in collaborating with field offices, service lines, other national agencies, and community members. This position will assist in resourcing and supporting field office staff, work with Home Office colleagues to develop needed resources, and help create and launch a Private Sponsor version of World Relief’s Good Neighbor Team ministry model.
Compensation: $50,000-$55,000 DOE
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- In collaboration with field and Home Office staff, identify opportunities, needs, challenges, and training gaps of those who are Private Sponsors
- Advise and assists in the development of resources that can be deployed to fill gaps and meet the needs of those who are engaging as Private Sponsors
- Collaborate with home office staff who are focused on World Relief’s team ministry program called Good Neighbor Teams (GNT) in order to develop the GNT Private Sponsor model
- Assure the contextualization of Good Neighbor Team materials for use by GNT Private Sponsors
- Serve as an ear to the ground and bridge between field offices and Home Office staff who are engaged with Private Sponsor programs
- Provide resources and coaching to field staff focused on supporting those who are or seek to become Private Sponsors

- Field and direct national inquiries from those interested in or currently engaged as Private Sponsors
- Work in collaboration with other World Relief departments to recruit Private Sponsors
- Maintain up-to-date self-education about resettlement and integration programs and stay informed on best practices for Private Sponsorship nationally
- As requested, represent WR at internal and external conferences, meetings, committees, and working groups with WR colleagues, national Resettlement Agencies, federal partners, and other stakeholders
