About Clearmatics
Clearmatics is a blockchain protocol engineering company that builds decentralised financial market infrastructures that are more open, efficient, and resilient than those serving legacy market structures of today.
We have a bold vision for this new market infrastructure - enabling market participants to solve currently unaddressed problems of the real economy, including “missing markets” problems. We aim to achieve our vision through technologies that allow peer-to-peer trading and settlement within new markets, and with digital assets whose values track real-world risk factors that currently have no suitable expression in legacy markets.
No matter the nature of a risk factor, whether macro-economic or relating to real-world metrics such as climate data, our mission is to make important risk factors tradable; by anyone, anywhere, without reliance on financial intermediaries. We are building this new infrastructure in collaboration with incredible trading and blockchain communities.
Clearmatics was founded in 2015, and we have ever since been committed advocates of Open Source development, and active participants in the blockchain and cryptography research communities. We’ve also been an active participant and supporter of decentralized infrastructure initiatives.
We’re growing our team and are looking for a Data Engineer to join us and become part of our journey.
Our stack is Ethereum-like, so familiarity with – and passion for – the space is key.
Some of the areas we tackle include blockchain infrastructure optimized for financial use-cases, protocols for specific applications (such as smart contract-based derivatives, synthetic assets, cryptocurrency stabilization, …), scalability and privacy through cryptography (zkSNARKs, multiparty computation, private transactions/assets).
Responsibilities

To achieve this, you will need to consolidate, cleanse, and structure the data, as well as maintain the automated scripts, data pipelines, and databases that comprise the data platform.
This data provides researchers with insights into blockchain protocols to enable them to perform analytical work. It also drives public and internal dashboards and reports.
About you
You like to build robust, scalable, maintainable, and well-documented data pipelines.
You are passionate about blockchain and are comfortable working with large datasets.
You have exquisite attention to detail and a strong appreciation for data integrity and correctness.
Requirements

- Fluency in Python programming to intermediate level
- A good understanding of the Ethereum protocol
- Proficiency in SQL, GraphQL, and query optimization
- Good knowledge of Unix shell scripting and commandline tools
- Familiarity with cloud services (e.g. AWS EC2/S3, Google Cloud)
- Excellent verbal and written English skills
Bonus points
- Proficiency with Python scientific computing (NumPy, Pandas, Jupyter)
- Experience with managing and processing financial market timeseries data

Our on-call rotation uses the follow-the-sun pattern: you will be on call some of the time, but there should not be any overnight shifts.
We all have different backgrounds and are determined to help you succeed no matter where you are or who you are. If you think you would do a great job at Chainlink, we are looking forward to speaking with you, even if you don’t match 100% of the job requirements: those describe people we’ve usually had a great time working with, but they’re not a tick-box exercise.
Your Impact
- Support monitoring services that watch over the entire Chainlink network.

Preferred Qualifications
- Professional experience with Golang, TypeScript, or both.
- Excitement for blockchain, Web 3.0, and similar decentralized technologies.
- Experience running blockchain full node operator is a big plus.
- Experience with Chainlink as a developer or a node operator is a big plus.
- Comfort working with network protocols, proxies, and load balancers.
- Experience with information security and DevSecOps.
- Experience working remotely in a distributed team.
- We are giving slight preference to candidates who live in the UTC to UTC+8 range due to our on-call schedule for this particular opening.
Our Stack
Some of the tools and services we use daily or almost daily are:
AWS; Terraform/Terragrunt; Kubernetes, Calico and ArgoCD; Prometheus and Grafana; GitHub Actions; Packer
We expect you to be comfortable with most of those tools and very proficient in several of them.
This role requires a working location within APAC Timezones with a 5 days per week shift rotation, within the hours of 2300-0700UTC.

Hi there. We’re GridPlus. We’re a small team of experts in decentralized networks, embedded firmware, and applied cryptography. We’ve built the world’s most secure and flexible cryptocurrency hardware wallet, the Lattice1, and we’d like your help in making it the world’s best tool for securely storing and using your crypto.

We offer a supportive and innovative environment, committed to lifelong learning and collaboration. Join us to amplify your career and make a notable impact on the advancement of cryptocurrency and web3 solutions.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking subject matter experts in cryptography who possess a deep understanding of how cryptographic protocols function. Cryptography engineers are responsible for guiding the efforts of firmware and full-stack developers who are implementing new features and software integrations for the Lattice1 family of devices.
Providing tools to empower users to self-custody their own cryptocurrency is a serious responsibility so it is important applicants for this role have a solid understanding of private key management, cryptocurrency wallets, and blockchain-specific security considerations.

Our development stack includes embedded C firmware and a TypeScript SDK. Ideally, an applicant will contribute to both. Mastering C is not a requirement – you will just be helping firmware engineers implement specific crypto functionality.
- For every new network we want to add the following items:
- (SDK) Request public keys -> convert to addresses
- (SDK) Receive transaction bytes, instantiate transaction and validate against reference TypeScript utils, serialize transaction and send to Lattice1
- (Firmware) Implement new curve if needed (we already support SECP256K1, SECP256R1, ED25519, and BLS12-381)
- (Firmware) Calculate public keys and add option to GetPublicKeys route
- (Firmware) Decode and validate transaction bytes; render markdown-like text to represent the transaction in as human-readable a way as possible
- (Firmware) Sign on curve and return signature

Title: Senior Software Engineer – Trading Team

Trading Systems Senior Engineer
CoinList is where early adopters invest in and trade the best digital assets, and is now one of the fastest growing crypto financial platforms. We support the full lifecycle of crypto investment, from token sales through token distribution, trading, lending, and crypto-specific services such as staking and access to decentralized-finance opportunities. CoinList users trade and store Bitcoin, Ether, Filecoin, and many other popular crypto assets through our full-service exchange, CoinList Pro, mobile apps and CoinList.co, while also getting access to the best new tokens before they list on other exchanges. We are the blue chip platform for blockchain companies, helping Filecoin, Blockstack, Solana, Celo, Algorand, Dapper, and others raise over $1.1 Billion. Our customer base includes validators, miners, founders, CEOs, crypto funds, bitcoin OGs, as well as a broad array of crypto enthusiasts. We are backed by top-tier investors, have offices in San Francisco, New York, Montreal and are just getting started.
As an engineer at CoinList you’ll find that your days are filled with all sorts of fascinating challenges — from developing smart contracts, to architecting a high performance exchange, to simplifying the complex to help bring crypto to a mainstream audience. Our work is difficult and ambitious, which is what makes it fun.
Specifically, we are looking for a Senior engineer with 5+ years of experience with previous experience working on trading systems. If you are an entrepreneurial person with exceptional engineering talent, we’d love to hear from you!
Who you are:
- You like to ship high quality code. You make deadlines for yourself and you move fast. You focus on the things that matter and push back on things that don’t. People know they can count on you to get things done.
- You love to code. You build stuff for fun on nights and weekends. You contribute to open source. You have deep expertise in certain areas but you consider yourself a generalist and you enjoy learning new platforms.
- You’re really smart. You were a top student in your computer science program or have been teaching yourself programming from an early age. You like being around people who challenge you.
- You’re curious. You want to understand how things work. You value interesting things, especially outside your discipline. You like teaching others and constantly learning. You read and question things.
- You’re scrappy and entrepreneurial. You’ve built apps for fun and worked on side projects before. You’re interested in all aspects of startups – from user testing, to marketing, to raising capital. If you haven’t already started your own company, you think you might like to in the future.
- You care about the product. You might not be a product expert, but you value good design. You enjoy thinking about why certain products work and discussing new apps. You want to build delightful products that users love and that make people’s lives more meaningful.
- You have good values. You enjoy hanging out with your teammates, make the workplace more fun for everyone, and care about doing the right thing.
- You are a 10x thinker, far more excited by huge disruptions than by small improvements. If something is hard, that makes it more fun, and you know that if anyone can figure it out, you can.
What you will do:
- You’ll contribute in all areas. You might choose to go deep in web development or building open source dev tools to automate our operations, but like your teammates you’ll make a habit of working across the stack, frequently picking up new languages and platforms as needed.
- You’ll ship product. From hack days, to experimental prototypes, to developing a new type of auction model, you’ll constantly be building and shipping product. You’ll write clean, well-documented code, do unit tests, follow best practices, and have the benefit of working in a place where people move fast.
- You’ll rapidly grow and improve. At CoinList you’ll be working with some of the smartest engineers you’ve ever met, who love to learn and teach each other. You’ll find yourself stretching to new areas, immersed in feedback, and engrossed in deep conversations on a daily basis.
- You’ll help shape the product. Our whole team cares deeply about the product and has significant input into its development. You’ll beta test new prototypes and talk directly with users, and your ideas will always be heard.
- You’ll learn about startups. From fundraising, to recruiting, to negotiating an office lease, you’ll learn everything there is to know about growing and running a startup of your own, and we’ll do everything we can to connect you with mentors and advisors to help you with your career for years to come.
- You’ll be an owner. We believe in hiring smart people and giving them as much responsibility as they can handle. Whether it’s running a critical token sale or leading our work on a new platform, we’ll make sure you are always pushing yourself to new levels.
- You’ll create the future. Crypto is a far bigger deal than most people realize, and at CoinList you will be be at the forefront of it. There are all sorts of technical challenges you’ll be working though and new questions you’ll have to answer, in partnership with founders for the leading crypto projects across the globe. If you’re successful, you’ll build something the world has never before seen.
As an early employee at CoinList you will be a critical part of our core team and have a huge influence over the direction of the company. We will compensate you well, invest deeply in your development, and do everything we can to make sure this is the single best work experience of your life.
At CoinList, we are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate ersity, value our differences, and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. **About the Job
**Our core technology is Ruby on Rails and ReactJS on the web, along with a hybrid React Native mobile app. You’ll be joining us in a period of rapid growth, so your primary directive will be to roll up your sleeves and build stuff.
Our goal is for our product to be invisible to our users - it shouldn’t get in the way of their work, it shouldn’t be confusing, it shouldn’t require training. That requires us to be very considerate of our experience, very collaborative in how we build our software, and very close to our customers through the sales and support process.
You’ll work closely with business, design and customer support to craft the future of our product line, and occasionally spin up wholly new products and codebases. At a minimum, you’ll need to be able to use your experience to work through ambiguity, identify issues, and offer suggestions.
Here are a few concrete things that we’ve done lately and a few things on our short term roadmap to give you an idea of what kinds of things we’re up to and what you might do:
- Integrating our internal calendar system to sync with Google Calendar and others.
- Using our APM software to monitor and identify a bottleneck in a specific API endpoint and resolve it through various possible techniques.
- Addressing a user-reported bug in our React Native app where the keyboard, when it was active, was pushing some content outside of the accessible viewport.
- Using Twilio’s Conversations API to create a fully custom, integrated chat experience in our app for people on a project to talk with one another.
- Adding the ability to drag and drop to rearrange items in a to-do list.
- Identifying an issue in an open source project we rely on, fixing it, and getting that fix approved and merged.
- Adding in robust CSS3 and JavaScript animations to provide users with more fine-grained and delightful UI feedback.
- Spinning up a big net new feature behind a beta flag and slowly rolling it out to a test group.
- ...and so much more.
Our team is small but growing, and our roadmap is full of so much more than we could ever build right now. In joining us, you’ll have an outsized impact on the success of the product and company.
**About You
**We’re looking for someone who is prolifically productive - which generally means you’re quite comfortable with Rails and/or React (or something similar, like Vue), you know how to put things together, and you can get things done.
We’re looking for someone with experience creating and shipping software in a production environment, and can show us or talk to us about it. We don’t do whiteboard interviews or algorithm lottery questions. Instead, we think the strongest indicator of whether you can do this type of work is whether you have successfully done this type of work before. And for this role, we’re going to ask you a lot about your past experience building products and leading teams.
Our company is fully remote, and has been since before COVID. Our only current limitations on remote work are that you reside in the continental United States and mostly work during US time zones.
We’re looking for someone who works and communicates well with others. Building software is a collaborative process; it requires a erse team with different types of experts who all work together regularly (and sometimes have to disagree and commit). Teamwork like this is even more important in a distributed remote environment, where effective collaboration is a bit more challenging.
We’re looking for someone who has leadership experience or the strong desire to be in a leadership role and understands the responsibilities that come along with it. Due to our strong self-management culture, this role will be more of a hybrid type of leadership role - some people management, some technical leadership, and occasionally some coding.
**To be considered, you’ll need…
**Engineering Managers at BuildBook play the role of people leaders on our teams - we view them as mini VPEs. The job is to know and grow a product or featureset, as well as the small team of engineers that work on that project. Engineering Managers have the autonomy to make day-to-day engineering decisions on their own, but should also understand when to collaborate with other people or teams, or reach out for help.
Engineering Managers at BuildBook are more of a manager than a maker. Their goal is to make the team the best that it can be, which can require mentorship, effective communication, facilitation work, and more. Engineering Managers tend to not do quite as much day-to-day coding, but can roll up their sleeves when necessary.
Successful Engineering Managers at BuildBook tend to be people who have a good bit of experience in building products from start to finish in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment. You might not be an expert on any single thing or the most senior person on the team, but you’re the type of person who can ensure something is getting done, even if you aren’t the person doing it. Your job is to make sure the proverbial trains are running on time. You understand that good engineering decisions are about finding the best path forward given the constraints you’re working with. You’ll be managing a team of up to 5 other engineers and are comfortable mentoring people on both hard technical skills as well as soft skills.
Our requirements are somewhat flexible for this role, as we’d rather be as inclusive as possible. As such, we’re looking for:
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience working in a team environment.
- The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience with some form of managerial leadership. We’re also willing to consider people without this experience and are excited about the opportunity to move into this type of role.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails and/or React; OR experience in a similar tech stack and a willingness to learn Rails and/or React.
- Strong communication skills and/or experience with remote work.
- Residence in North America and the ability to work in a North American time zone.
Nice to have: BS in Computer Science, Math, EE, or other applicable degrees.
Time zones: EST (UTC -5), CST (UTC -6), MST (UTC -7), PST (UTC -8), AKST (UTC -9), HST (UTC -10), AST (UTC -4), NST (UTC -3:30)
And for this role, we’re going to ask you a lot about your past experience building products.
We’re looking for someone who has technical leadership experience or the strong desire to be in a technical leadership role.
**
To be considered, you’ll need…**Staff Engineers at BuildBook play the role of technical leaders on our teams - we view them as mini CTOs. The job is to know and grow a product or featureset, as well as the small team of engineers that work on that project. Technical leaders have the autonomy to make day-to-day engineering decisions on their own, but should also understand when to collaborate with other teams or reach out for help. The job is to collaborate with their team to produce an amazing product and solve real-world problems for our customers.
Staff level technical leaders are still Inidual Contributors, and while they might be providing some amount of mentorship to their team, they aren’t people managers and won’t have direct reports. They tend to lead through experience, the results of which are seen in the amazing features and products their teams produce. They’re more of a maker than a manager.
Successful tech leads at BuildBook tend to be people who have a good bit of experience in building products from start to finish in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment. You’re comfortable with a little ambiguity sometimes and can use your past experience to guide things from raw concepts to buildable products. You understand that good engineering decisions are about finding the best path forward given the constraints you’re working with.
Our requirements are somewhat flexible for this role, as we’d rather be as inclusive as possible. As such, the following are requirements:
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience working in a team environment. A successful Staff Engineer tends to have more experience than this, though.
- The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience with some form of non-managerial technical leadership, but we’re also willing to consider people looking to intentionally move into this type of role.

How We Work
Freedom and Flexibility: At Loom, we believe work is an act, not a place. When we disengage work from a location, we can accommodate a broad range of life choices. You can choose to work from home or while you travel. We are able to hire across the United States and are continuing to expand our international presence. And you are free to move within a country without any adjustment to compensation.
Engaging Workday: The key to an engaging workday is finding the right balance between different ways to work sync, async, text and video. Loom makes it easier for us to say what we mean without having to schedule a zoom meeting or struggle to find the right words. And using async communication allows us to free up time for deep work every day. We believe there’s a place for sync time – often a conversation on Zoom is exactly what is needed.
Work-Rest Balance: The way we balance the fast-paced demands of a high-growth startup and sustainability is making rest a priority. We offer a flexible PTO policy so you’re able to take time off when you need it. We also go fully offline for Summer Break around 4th of July and between Christmas and New Years. Rest is also part of the workday, not just during PTO. Taking a break for personal commitments, whether it’s watching the kids or getting some exercise is a natural part of the workday.
Social Connection: Relationships and connectedness matter. We are intentional about building trust and relationships through unique, shared experiences. Our virtual workspace keeps us connected day-to-day whether it’s through Looms celebrating wins or our buzzing Slack communities. Loommates are able to meet in person with their teams at least twice a year purely for fun. We have also built local offices for those who want to work or meet in person, starting with San Francisco and New York City.
